Briana Boston’s Arr*st Over Insurance Call Sparks Legal Debate On Justice System’s Response To Frustration-Fueled Remarks

After Briana Boston’s arrest, she was kept behind bars on a judge-set $100,000 bond

However, her attorney did his best to emphasize that she had no prior record, cooperated with police, and maintained that the statement was not a credible threat.

Furthermore, Mrs. Boston’s defense said the words had come from frustration and did not mean any real threats of violence toward anyone.

What’s more, she reassured authorities that she did not possess firearms, and no evidence was found to indicate a credible plan for violence.

Additionally, the Florida woman probably was released after her legal team showed the charges were disproportionate to the circumstances of her comments that she was just a woman who chose the wrong words during a heated moment.

It is also worth mentioning that public scrutiny over the case might have played a role in her release.

Many viewed her argument as extreme, considering the context in which she made the statement and her otherwise clean record.

Some said;

she might go to pr*son for 15 years over saying “Delay, Deny, Depose. You people are next.” to a customer service agent? sorry, but that’s wild and tyrannical. how serious of a threat actually was it?

Other added;

15 years for an angry phone call? That seems absurd. She’s a mother of 3 who just got emotional on the phone. Did she really pose a credible threat?
